FOURTH-QUARTER UPDATE: South Side broke the shutout with 6:56 to go on Nathan Block's 1-yard run. The Rams added the 2-point conversion to trim their deficit to 23-8.
THIRD-QUARTER UPDATE: Shenango added to its lead late in the third. Hunter Waskin intercepted a pass off a fake punt. Three plays later, Brett Hoover's 1-yard run gave the hosts a 14-0 edge with 4:26 left in the frame. Shenango got a safety 1:02 later when a snap sailed into the end zone. Waskin tackled the South Side Beaver runner behind the goal line for the 16-0 lead. The Wildcats took the free kick and drove for another touchdown. Hoover barged his way in from the 3 with 21.7 seconds left in the frame for a 23-0 advantage.
SECOND-QUARTER UPDATE: Hunter Waskin scored on a 10-yard run early in the second to give the Wildcats a 7-0 lead. Shenango tried to add to its lead with four seconds remaining in the half, but Dylan Kleckner's 27-yard field goal attempt was blocked.
FIRST-QUARTER UPDATE: Shenango drove to the South Side Beaver 4 late in the quarter, but turned the ball over on downs. On South Side Beaver's next drive, Shenango's Brenton Booher intercepted a pass at the 23.
