Wilmington loses big at Sharpsville

The Wilmington High football team had a rough night Friday night.
The injury-riddled Greyhounds suffered a 42-7 District 10, Region 1-A loss at Sharpsville.
Wilmington, which already has clinched a District 10 playoff berth, is now 3-3 in the region, 5-4 overall. Region 1-A leader Sharpsville is 6-0, 9-0.
The Greyhounds’ lone score came on a 15-yard pass to Colton Marett from Spencer DeMedal in the second quarter. The Blue Devils led 28-7 at the half.
Jack Patton led Wilmington in rushing with 33 yards on four carries. Marett had three catches for 33 yards.
The Greyhounds close the regular season at Slippery Rock on Friday before opening the District 10 playoffs the following weekend.
