Greyhounds make quick work of Titusville

The Wilmington High football team wasted no time taking care of business last night.
The Greyhounds scored twice in the first quarter and three times in the second en route to a 35-0 District 10, Region 3-AA blanking of Titusville.
Sutton Whiting scored the first three touchdowns for Wilmington (5-1 in the region, 7-1 overall), while Derrick Burns tacked on the final two.
Burns finished with 110 yards rushing on six attempts, and Whiting added 106 yards on five tries as Wilmington rolled up 299 yards net rushing.
Whiting also scored on a 25-yard punt return early in the second quarter.
Bryce Wilson chipped in with three point-after kicks and Whiting had a conversion run to close out the scoring. The Greyhounds did lose three fumbles on the sloppy field, however.
Titusville, which managed just three first downs and 69 total yards, slipped to 0-7 and 0-8.
